One Week Artist in Residence
|
|
| |
A dynamic program designed to incorporate music,
art, drama and performance. I will begin the week with a performance
showcasing the music and stories from Africa or Australia.
Throughout the residency, I will spend time in each classroom
teaching students songs, instrument making and playing, (Australia
program will create their very own Didjeridoo's) storytelling
and artwork from the ancient cultures. I will work with the
students to prepare and present an inspiring, fun filled performance
at the end of the residency. I have also developed a curriculum
that compliments music, art, drama, science, language arts
and social studies. A residency can be planned and designed
to meet the needs of your school.
